Herschel’s story begins…
In tending towards vintage and nostalgic forms of expression - a quiet defiance against the pull of trends and a testament to my individuality.
In response to the let downs I experienced in the world around me, I resolved to build a strong internal one... One that naturally lent itself to nostalgia's familiar charm.
I started world building with elements that already existed in the public domain, and somewhere along the way, my project Grew more into storytelling… The characteristics of the public domain aligned perfectly with a tenet of my own style - familiar, yet anonymous. Enough to relate to, but distant enough to be curious.

Turning clothing into wearable stories, was where my vision truly started to make sense.
Every story needs a world to unfold in, and each of us carries a world that is uniquely our own. My projects reimagine stories, bringing them to life through high-detail, durable embroidery.
